Imagínese que usted es volver a crear particiones en un disco y al salir de fdisk escribir la nueva tabla de particiones automount intenta montar las nuevas particiones. Así que en lugar de disco fresco listo para newfs obtiene esta advertencia:
WARNING: Re-reading the partition table failed with error 16: Device or resource busy.
The kernel still uses the old table.
The new table will be used at the next boot.
Así que usted puede olvidarse de newfs por un tiempo. ¿Qué hacer? Simplemente, reiniciar? ¿Qué pasa si usted necesita volver a particionar más de un disco? Aquí está la solución ...
La solución es deshabilitar automount temporalmente. Usted puede hacer eso con
/etc/init.d/autofs stop
/etc/init.d/haldaemon stop
#umount the device you're trying to fdisk - it might be already mounted
La segunda línea es menos trivial entonces el primero de ellos, ¿no? Para deshabilitar el montaje automático de forma permanente usar este otro:
chkconfig autofs off
chkconfig haldaemon off
/etc/init.d/autofs stop
/etc/init.d/haldaemon stop
#umount the device you're trying to fdisk - it might be already mounted
